A
new Peter Hughes liveaboard vessel, the Island Dancer II started
operations in Fiji in 2009.
Just refitted the Island Dancer II was formerly known as "Sere
ni Wai" and as Fiji Aggressor. This beautiful intimate 10 passenger
yacht offers all comforts one may dream of.
You can explore Fiji, the so called soft coral capital of the world
with Island Dancer II. They offer 7 or 10 night cruises starting
and ending in Suva. Or join one of the 7 night cruises in Tonga
during the humpback whale season. (July-August).
Island Dancer II appeals to those divers who prefer a smaller group
atmosphere.
Trip
Schedule & Dive Sites
All
trips depart from Suva. You get 5 and ½ or 8 and 1/2 days
of diving up to four or five dives per day. Guests will be transferred
from Suva airport to the vessel.
Aboard the Island Dancer II, you will explore the reefs, bommies
and walls of Nigali Pass, Wakaya, Koro and Namenalala Islands which
are located towards the North & East of the main island of Viti
Levu. To top off the exiting diving and experience some of Fijis
local culture, a visit to a Fijian village on one of the remote
islands is arranged including a Kava ceremony and warrior dance.

Vessel
The
Island Dancer II is 101 feet long and 22 feet wide.
The beautifully appointed salon of the monohull vessel has ample
room for divers to view their photos and videos or to enjoy a movie
on the entertainment system. The sun deck features covered and uncovered
lounging and is a perfect place to relax with a book during surface
intervals. Island
Dancer II cruising speed is 10
knots and the vessel has 240 and 110-volt power on board.
Accommodation
Four
elegant Deluxe staterooms feature individual climate control
and ensuite bathrooms and are configured with a full sized bed with
a single bunk above to accommodate
twin or double occupancy. The Deluxe
staterooms are located on the lower deck.
The huge master stateroom on the middle deck is configured
with one large queen sized bed (see
picture). This cabin has individual
climate control and ensuite bathroom.
All cabins have their own port hole and hair dryers.
Diving
facilities
The diving facilities on board this vessel are the finest available:
- Dives are conducted from both the dive tender and the mother
ship.
- Nitrox available at extra cost.
- Tanks are filled in-place with either air or nitrox between
dives.
- Diving certification and specialty courses including nitrox
certification are available on board.
- The vessel is equipped with digital photo/video equipment although
it's always recommended to check the availability of equipment
prior to travel.

Sample Itinerary
Island Dancer II offers two exciting itineraries, 7 days and 10
days, for divers based on the season and weather conditions.
Day 1: The Island Dancer II awaits dockside at the Tradewinds
Hotel in Suva. The vessel sets a course for Wakaya soon after boarding.
Guests are treated to a delicious dinner and welcome aboard briefing.
Day 2: Dive Briefing! The crew prepares everyone for a fabulous
week of diving starting at Manta Rock in search of those huge manta
rays, which use this reef as a cleaning station. Guests may enjoy
up to four dives each day. Night dives are offered throughout the
week, conditions permitting.
Day 3, 4, 5: Diving continues at favorites like Black Forest,
Magic Mountain, Namena Reef, Kansas, and North Save-a-Tack Passage.
Day 6: After a day of diving, the local chief invites the
guests on a tour of Makogai Village. The villagers celebrate the
event with native dances and a traditional kava ceremony. Bring
your camera and get ready for a night of Fijian culture.
Day 7: (7 day itinerary) The Island Dancer II returns after
an early morning dive to the Tradewinds Hotel early afternoon.
Day 8: (7 day itinerary) Checkout early morning for your transportation
back to the airport or local hotel.
Day 7, 8, 9: (10 day Itinerary) Diving continues at spectacular
seamounts and walls such as E6 Hi 8 and Naisonisoni.
Day 10: The Island Dancer II returns after an early morning
dive to the Tradewinds Hotel early afternoon.
Day 11: Checkout early morning for your transportation back
to the airport or local hotel. Itinerary may vary due to weather
conditions and yacht location.
