is situated on Fiji's main island at Viti Levu's most Northern point
near the town of Rakiraki. Being only a 2.5 hours drive from Nadi
Airport, the resort offers you the feel of an island paradise with
the convenience of the mainland. Wananavu's
proximity to the abundant Bligh Waters,visited regularly by one
of Fiji's world class liveaboards, make this one of Fiji's most
sought after diving areas !
The
Resort
Wananavu
Beach Resort has 31 deluxe bures situated on the palm-fringed ocean
or amongst the lush tropical gardens. The spectacular reef and sunset
scenes from the bures and restaurant bar complex are unparalleled.
There's
always something for everyone; diving, cultural activities, picnics
to secluded beaches, village tours, snorkelling, fishing, kayaking
or just lying by the pool with a book and a cocktail.
There are no phones, radios or tvs in the bures, giving you the
chance to experience a peaceful slice of paradise. Each bure and
villa offers air-conditioning and ceiling fans or can be naturally
cooled by the sea breezes.Wananavu is perfect for singles, couples
and is family friendly, a resort that offers the relaxed 'out of
the way' Fiji. The wonderful staff, bures, fresh local food, views,
warm water, fantastic snorkelling and world renowned diving make
Wananavu that unique Fijian getaway.
The
Diving
Ra
Divers offer pristine diving adventures in the renowned Bligh Waters.
These waters have until recently been accessible only by premier
liveaboard cruises, but are now, thankfully, acccessible from the
resort. Two and three tank dives will provide you with an incredible
variety of sea life all from a land based dive facility! From the
tiniest of creatures to pelagics, from hard coral to hanging soft
coral gardens, this will provide you with an exciting diving experience.
Blue Ribbon Eels, Clown Triggers, Lion Fish, Leaf Scorpions, Reef
Sharks and millions of colorful Anthias and Fusiliers all inhabit
these waters. Ra Divers boats will quickly and comfortably transport
you to one of the many explored and unexplored dive sites in the
Vatu-I-Ra Passage. They have 3 dedicated dive boats:
The
Phantom
A 36ft monohulled boat powered by twin 115HP Yamaha engines and
comfortably able to accommodate 16 divers with 2 crew.
The Shadow
A 28ft monohulled boat powered by twin 60HP Yamaha engines and comfortably
able to accommodate 10 divers with 2 crew.
Thakau Express
A 25ft monohulled fiberglass boat powered by a 85HP Yamaha engine
and comfortably able to accommodate 8 Divers with 2 crew.
Every
trip is manned by knowledgeable Dive Masters who know the islands
of Fiji inside out.
Accommodation
The
resort offers a range of Garden View, Ocean View & Beachfront
Bure accommodation to suit all tastes. Every bure is ocean or garden
facing or overlooking the beach so you can be assured of unforgettably
stunning views. With your own private bathroom and balcony, you
can really appreciate the peace and relaxing atmosphere that the
resort has to offer their
guests. For families and small groups ther's also some two
bedroom Garden Bures that accommodate up to 4 adults or 2 adults
& 2 children. For those special occasions there's alao a deluxe
honeymoon bure along with ocean view and beachfront villas !
All accommodation air conditioning, ceiling fans, mini-bar, refrigerator
& tea/coffee making facilities.
Meals
All meal are included in your package. Start your day with Breakfast
from the Sunrise Terrace where the resort offers a wide selection
from the Breakfast Menu. You can choose from a tropical/continental
or hot American buffet breakfasts.
Mouth-watering dishes from the lunch menu are served either by the
poolside or from the restaurant balcony offering superb ocean views.
Daily
trips can be arranged to secluded beaches on the nearby islands
where you can take a picnic lunch or enjoy a beach BBQ cooked over
an openfire.
In
the evening you can experience the a la carte dining featuring International
and Local Cuisine including fresh fish and lobster caught from the
Bligh Waters directly out from the Resort. The a la carte menu changes
daily.
Every night the Wananavu Serenaders are there to enchant your evening
with Fijian music and songs where a bowl or two of 'Kava' (Fiji's
Ceremonial Drink) should not be missed.
One a week, a "Lovo" - a Traditional Fijian Feast is organised
subject to guest numbers in house. Food is wrapped in banana leaves,
cooked over hot stones and buried underground. When the tasty feast
is unearthed, Soni will describe to you the different types of Fijian
food and delicacies. The feast is then followed by a traditional
evening of song and dance performed by the resort staff.
Activities
The
resort provides kayaks, snorkelling equipment & tennis facilities
free of charge. Within the Wananavu area there are plenty of activities
to enjoy besides diving that make this the ideal place for divers
& non-divers:

& unspoilt and offers visitors a taste of the real Fiji culture

bush medicine, coconut climbing and traditional culture.
Getting
to/from Wananavu
Acessibility is one of Wanananvu's main attractions as no additional
flights are needed once you arrive into Fiji !
Your international flight will take you into Nadi on Fiji's main
island of Viti Levu, where you will be met by a resort representative.
From there it's a scenic 2 ¼ hours journey by a luxury air
conditioned mini-van to the resort.
